Acerca del libro
Let Them Eat Cake is an artist book that explores the topic of eating through the lens of an eating disorder sufferer, while disguised as a luxurious contemporary food magazine.
By using borrowed photographs as well as mimicking the visual style of a magazine where food pictures are largely elaborate and decorative, the artist wishes to juxtapose the glamorization of a routine, commonly experienced activity alongside the more sinister and voyeuristic manner in which an eating disorder sufferer views the otherwise straightforward practice of eating.
