A romantic take on urban nature



What does nature in an urban environment actually look like? A lot of people think that the urban environment itself is not natural, that it’s devoid of nature. In their eyes, true nature has to be untainted by man: a wilderness. So what does that make nature in an urban environment then?



These were the questions I asked myself as I roamed the city with my camera.



In this series of photos I’ve tried to depict nature as if it did comply with the romantic view 'we' have of nature, but using nature found in an urban environment.
