Do you know what the Gridgraph or the Vitaphone were? Neither did a young man from Utah until he attended the University of Missouri in the pre-Great Depression years. He also learned the art of "cutting-in" on dances. The new experiences he enjoyed -- his fraternity, the dating scene, football games and forming strong friendships made life seem like a "bowl of cherries" even though his life also had its share of "pits".
