Acerca del libro
Forty plus photographs of Bodie, California, a genuine gold mining Ghost Town. According to the state parks brochure, "Bodie was designated a State Historical Park in 1962. It is now maintained in a state of "arrested decay".
Our book shows you the state of this old mining town, as it is today, and the rustic nature of its remote setting. Of all the western towns we have visited, most have been over-commercialized. Bodie is unique in that there are no commercial vendors or souvenir shops full of those cheap imported trinkets.
Bodie stands, as the picture of a town where it's inhabitants seemed to have walked away yesterday. Only yesterday was over 100 years ago.
For a view of an authentic western town, visit Bodie. If you can't visit, buy this book.
