Acerca del libro
One of the great questions we universally face is “what happens to us after we die”, and the answer must principally be a matter of individual faith. When we consider the Scottish landscape we find a mix of natural and man-altered terrains. One of the ways that this landscape is commonly altered is by the inclusion of artefacts which we may associate with death; burial mounds, standing stones, family burial grounds, mausoleums, graveyards, grave markers, graves, mortsafes, monuments and other carvings. These objects allow us to get an insight on how people's beliefs transcend the physical and give us cultural cues that inform us of the religious eschatology of those people.
