The strength of David’s photography is his ability to reveal the inconspicuous within the everyday. He purposefully looks for the overlooked, so that his lens may zoom in to uncover hidden geometric and repeating patterns within architecture, as well as highlight contrasting and textural elements in the world around us. This approach and perspective can be seen in “Spiral Iron Railing,” where, through David’s viewfinder, the handrail of an historic house in Frederick City – one previously unseen as we hurry by each day – is revealed as an artistic and appealing spiral, an organic element that appeals through its simplicity. After viewing David’s images, one’s own eyes are then opened to such occurrences as we travel through our own lives. An 19-year resident of Frederick County, Maryland, David lives in Woodsboro with his wife, Michelle, and their two children, Evan and Claire. Images are available for purchase.
