Acerca del libro
Grosse Point Confluence is a site-specific installation commissioned by the Evanston Art Center (EAC) for its 2010 Sculpture on the Grounds program. Made of approximately 7000 feet of steel rebar, Nadler’s sculpture sprawls across the landscape and penetrates the earth like a three-dimensional drawing. Viewers are encouraged to walk the sculpture’s meandering path, observing its twists, curves, and voids.
Each year since 1994, the EAC has commissioned an artist to create a temporary site-specific installation on the front lawn of the center, which is uniquely situated in Lighthouse Landing Park on a bluff overlooking Lake Michigan. The Sculpture on the Grounds installations are viewed throughout the year by people using the adjoining beach and park, as well as students, faculty, exhibiting artists, and other visitors to the Evanston Art Center.
