His feature work appears regularly in Smithsonian, LIFE, Audubon, Islands, Sports Illustrated, Terre Sauvage, Nature Conservancy, Newsweek , National Geographic Traveler, National Geographic Adventure, Outside, Outdoor Explorer, GEO, Forbes, Business Week and other magazines. He has contributed to numerous books for several publishers, including the National Geographic Society, The Nature Conservancy, W.W. Norton, NorthWord Press, Lerner, Sterling, Knopf Greystone, Rodale, Insight Guides, McMillan, Invisible Press, Discovery, and Voyageur Press. He photographed a book on Great Lakes States for the National Geographic Society.
