I paint in and around Marco Island, and especially enjoy painting the beauty of the nearby Everglades. Embracing the Everglades contains many of those paintings, and stories about the landscape itself. I work "en plein air" whenever possible. The images in my paintings are familiar components of the Everglades; palms, clouds, prairies, water. I paint their bold forms and uncommon colors with joy and discovery. Through my painting, it is my hope that the viewer will become more personally involved with an appreciative response to the threatened landscape I portray.
