This book is about the nature and reality of Christ's appearance in our time. It is a small collection of essays by someone who began to experience "the morning light" of this reality in his lifetime and who left the height of success in the Lutheran church in Germany to become a key founding member of the birth of the movement for religious renewal known by the name for all of Christendom: The Christian Community.

To perceive this sun, this moral light, we need new eyes. We need "moral vision." This is also the message of Damascus. It is through his encounter with Christ on the Road that Paul realizes that he has been blind to his reality, to Christ's presence. Friedrich Rittelmeyer walked a path in his life that led to this new moral vision. His eyes were opened and he was able to experience the reality of Christ's presence and his coming: "He is there! He wants to come!"
