In light of the ongoing military conflict in Ukraine I present a portrait of Val, a World War Two veteran. This book is a visual story of a brief moment of his life today. It is the story of a gentleman who is as vulnerable now as he was at the tender age of thirteen when Germany, and shortly after Russia, attacked Poland. Let it be a reminder that striving for freedom should be the responsibility of every generation because once we stop, tyranny prevails.
