VISUAL INTERPRETATIONS OF REALITY "Seeing is not believing...Believing is the beginning of Seeing"

Photographer Jeff McGregor presents a unique look at some of the very things that are all around us. The sea as it meets with the land, the land with its textures and interaction with light, sea shells as they float in limbo (his mother was an avid shell collector) and finally a glimpse of elements of our world and what they might look like through other dimensions of reality. This unique combination of photographs exemplifies his belief that thinking you can see more than appears to be present, enables the photographer to focus on the elements that shape your own personal visual interpretations of reality.
"Seeing is not believing...
Believing is the beginning of Seeing"
Jeff McGregor began his interest in photography while helping to form a camera club at his junior high school. After helping to build a darkroom in the rear of the science classroom, he and his fellow club members raised funds through the sale of their postcard pictures they took of the school. While attending college in 1971, he became a licensed professional photographer. Through the years he worked with photographers Jack Lord, Robert Becker and Dieter Kohn. He continued his study of photography with well known educator/photographers Thomas McCartney, Richard Zakia and Monte Zucker. He was invited to succeed retiring Dr. Thomas McCartney at the Edward Eissey Campus of Palm Beach Community College as an adjunct photography instructor. He is currently completing his thesis for a Master's Degree in Humanities with a specialization in Art.
