Rich Webster took an Art Foundation Course at Jacob Kramer College in Leeds in 1980 and then took
20 gap years spending the ‘80s as a selfish yuppie and the ‘90s repenting in exile in France. On his return
to the U.K. he continued to make ground as an artist by taking a B.A (Hons) in Fine Art at Cumbria
College of Art and Design and then a Masters in Contemporary Fine Art at Cumbria Institute of the
Arts.
He considers himself primarily as a painter but has ventured into installation, sculpture, text and
photography, which is an important part of his painting process.
He continues to work from his studio in Devon.
