Kanako Muraguchi is a Japanese textile designer who creates detailed pattern with a colorful palette and utilizes digital fabric printing processes to transform her painting to patterned fabric. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art at Randolph Macon Woman’s College in 2006 and Master of Fine Arts in Fibers at Savannah College of Art and Design. Through her skill with watercolor and other media, her work displays a playfulness in the transparency of her biomorphic imagery. Recently she has been working on a series of miniature watercolor paintings which are inspired by her unique perspective on daily life, interpreted digitally into printed collages on fabric.
