Born and raised in Hong Kong, Grace Cheung-Schulman was quiet, introverted, and loved to immerse herself in music, the visual arts, and photography. In her 20s, she left Hong Kong for Canada to study music. After a career in music education and arts management in Hong Kong, Canada, and the United States, she relocated to Northern California. The natural beauty of the area inspired her to pick up her camera again.
Cheung-Schulman’s eclectic portfolio covers landscape, nature, architecture, classic cars, and her new passion, documentary photography. To her, photography is visual music, her style---dynamic and colorful. She strongly believes in the power of the visual image, and in the way visual storytelling can encourage social change. She is currently working on documentary photography and book publishing projects.
