Barbara enjoys transforming cotton cloth into quilts of love. She leaves home with thread in her hair. She worries more about the corners of her quilt block matching than how her hair looks. Everywhere she goes she’s known as the quilt lady. She loves people’s quilt stories. Quilts become honored members of their families. Like the Velveteen Rabbit, they become real, when they are loved enough. Barbara’s quilts are an expression of ministry. She’s been doing her quilt ministry for half her life.
