About the Author

Anita Ellis was born and raised in California and has

a son named Aidan. She enjoys painting, surfing and

riding her bike. Like Abra, one of her favorite places is

the ocean. She finds it meditative and inspiring.

Anita received her B.A. in Creative Writing from San

Francisco State University and has taken many

art classes in the art department at San Francisco

City College. Currently, Anita is working on obtaining

a Trauma Prevention and Recovery Certificate at CCSF.

She also bartends in the Mission District and in

Bernal Heights, San Francisco.
