I am a former Children's Camp Director with a background in advertising. I love writing, gardening, outdoor activities, and of course my grandchildren; Jared, Alex and Noah, who call me "Grandma Jeanie."
I have two sons Steve and Derrick and also I had a son Donny, who passed away at age 18.
This book project has really been fun because my cousin Connie helped me by doing the illustrations. We mailed art work back and forth from Ravenswood to Morgantown, and also some was sent by email attachment, until finally "Tree So Tall" was ready.
We will be doing the next book together as well.
Blurb site has been especially helpful in getting this book into the hands of young readers. Considering how much money a person can spend just getting one book to press, it is the best tool a first time author could hope for. Plus, it gives a format for learning by seeing what else is out there, allowing you to preview their work, and receive comments back and forth.
