Having had mopeds and motorbikes in my teens, I enjoyed the freedom and excitement two wheel transport afforded, but not being cold and wet, so after passing my car test the bikes went.
I passed my bike test 27 yrs later and purchased a BMW F650GS, a model I still ride today.
The inspiration behind this trip was oldest friend, Shaun Chrismas who, after a spell in hospital and time at home re-cooperating, decided that a trip around Britain's coast would be a great idea. So he spent the next three months researching the best roads, planning the route, booking the hotels and seeking like minded bikers.
