Katie and Will's grandmother took them on a self-guided hiking/adventure trip to Switzerland in July 2015. They began in Meiringen and ended at the Matterhorn in Zermatt. They hiked the famous Eiger Trail at the foot of the notorious Eiger North Face near Grindelwald and threw in a bit of adventure by going paragliding in the Lauterbrunnen valley above Murren. They took a funicular to the top of Reichenbach Falls, a cog railway to the Jungfraujoch, a cable car to the Schilthorn, and a gondola to the Matterhorn-Glacier Paradise. They played in the snow, jumped in a cold mountain lake and watched lights flicker on the Matterhorn to commemorate the 150 year anniversary of the first ascent up that magnificent mountain.
