Enjoy an evening at the opera!
The “Magic Flute” is presented from different angles: each illustration is accompanied by texts which are relevant to the original quotes from the libretto, the drawings are presented in a light, almost half-comic style, illustrating a theatre production of "The Magic Flute" in 18th century costumes. The spectator also experiences the technical refinement of the fairy-tale, seeing the back-stage crew doing scene changes, the lighting technicians going through the technical rehearsal. The audience can take a peek inside the dressing room and see how the actors transform themselves into wild animals. The performance is rolled up, so to speak, on the stage where, at the end, everything is cleared away until the next performance. The story is told and commentated on in short, lively sentences.
Enjoy! It’s a declaration of love to Mozart.
