My husband suddenly passed away when my babies were 1 and 3. I struggled to find age appropriate materials to explain what had happened. Death is very abstract to children. Young children learn from materials that are concrete, images that they can associate with. So I decided to write my thesis on this and write a book for parents to use as a tool to help children understand this difficult experience. This book is geared towards children ages 3-6. It's written as a picture book with simplistic language that will invite children to communicate how they are feeling. This book is a little treasure; a one of a kind keepsake . There are places in this book for your children to draw pictures and keep memorabilia of their lost loved one.
