Born in the UK and raised in the Bay Area, Gillian attended Princeton University, where she majored in architecture and studied black & white and color photography. She recently moved back to the West Coast after six years in New York City. Predominantly photographing interiors and landscapes, she has an interest towards documenting the quiet mystery of everyday spaces, particularly those that are untouched or preserved in some way. Some of her subjects have included a Hotel Chelsea apartment, a tennis club on Martha’s Vineyard, and the Oregon coast. She also draws and makes collage in her spare time.
