Acerca del libro
This is an artistically-produced pictorial overview of Suzette Boulais' three phases of being real: The Punitive Phase, The Illuminative Phase and The Unitive Phase. The terms used in this book were loosely inspired by St. John of the Cross who uses similar terminology to explain the soul's spiritual childhood, adolescence and adulthood.

As an artist, my work is deeply influenced by artist Mark Rothko whose abstractions deal with basic color combinations and shapes that evoke a simple mood or impression. Nearly all of my pieces aspire to capture sublime subjects such as hope, happiness, harmony, peace, light and serenity. In many ways, my paintings are quiet meditations that aim to give the viewer a sense of calm and comfort. Several of my paintings are included in my book, On Being Real, which is an overview of my life philosophy about the pursuit of love, peace and happiness.
