Acerca del libro
My life moves from pulse to pulse, but often the lull between beats is long. Periods of angst and alienation collide, where self-love and self-loath muddle and everything turns to gray, except when I press on my eyes and phosphenes BURST. I want to bring you into my lull, into the time in my life when nothing seems to happen and there are only traces of what it means to be alive. Do you feel what I feel ?
In photography’s early days, there were some — who were pranksters, swindlers, or earnest — who said they could make photographs with nothing more than albumen paper and their minds. They didn’t need extant light, but just the illumination inside their heads to burn images onto paper. While I don’t pretend that I made these photographs with nothing more than psychic will, in a sense they have been made of my mind; of my internal emotional state.
Hopefully that lull is made real.
