Acerca del libro
Hendrix' conceptual metaphor of humans growing together as plants in a garden merges portraits of beautiful faces and local foliage into a herbarium that reveals human nature. We are all growing in a garden, only seeing fragments of our features. Our real faces are reflected, leaf by leaf, in a green gleam of natural light. The field of vision in which we are thriving won't let us see ourselves. The only way to catch a glimpse of a face is through the reflection in the leaves of others. Each one mirrors the face of the gardener. The more we embrace the facets of all the different expressions around us, the more we will grow aware of who the Gardener is. We can grow quiet in thankful assurance that we know who we are because we got to see His image in the facial features surrounding us.
