This book represents a journey for me on many different levels. My photographic journey of Vietnam was not only a journey as an observer taking in the diversity of this amazing country but one that would see me hone my craft and develop as a photographer. The first and most obvious journey was the physical journey I took around this beautiful country. I love to travel, and Vietnam provides an almost infinite variety of places to visit, everything from mountains to lowlands, rivers to sea, forests to deserts. My second journey was one of learning and growth as a photographer. I arrived in Vietnam a keen amateur and left, six years later, with the confidence and ability to capture the essence of a place and its people with my camera. Carrying my camera wherever I ventured enabled me to make connections, becoming more than just a visitor but enjoying the privilege of interacting and being witness to the warmth, strength and resilience of the people who make up Vietnam.

Enjoyed your photos from Vietnam. A refreshing break from the all too common "tourist snapshots" here on blurb. Well done and good choice for the cover photo. The street vendor against the yellow wall brought back some memories. Please send me an email, would like to hear about your future projects.

David, you should be very proud of this book! It's an incredible collection of images, many of them show a real visio, sensitivity and connection with Vietnam and its people. You have most definitely achieved your ambition as a photographer. This is one of my favourite photobooks I've seen on Blurb and I would highly recommend that fellow blurbarians take the time to take in your images. A big vote from me and I'm surprised this hasn't made it as a staff pick. Thanks you ever so much for sharing.
