Born in Pittsburgh PA, I received my BFA in Visual Arts from Boston University in 1975. My design career has taken me from its start with the University of Pittsburgh, to Pittsburgher Magazine, then Atlantic City magazine, a PR firm in Washington DC and finally National Geographic, first in the Educational Media/School Publishing divisions, and currently in the Children's Books division. I have lived in Washington DC since 1983.
