Luisa E Betancourt is a multidisciplinary artist with a Master of Fine Arts degree from Washington State University and a Fulbright Scholarship recipient (1992). She has shown her work extensively for the past thirty years.
She is a teacher, lecturer, and writer. She was the founder of CEMAC, a contemporary art center in Valencia Venezuela (2000). Luisa Betancourt has been awarded the Fifty-Year Button from the Fulbright Foundation and the One-Hundred-Year Button from Universidad del Zulia., Venezuela.
She currently lives in the island of Aruba where she has her studio
