Acerca del libro
This book contains over 180 processed images taken at many of the United States National Parks and locations in Canada. This collection was created during between May of 2018 and August of 2019.
In May of 2018 I packed SUV, dubbed Old Blue, and set off on a month long road trip that began in Minneapolis and included Washington, Oregon, California, Utah and Colorado. My objective was to visit and camp at a dozen different National Parks and photograph each of the park's natural landscapes. I survived almost exclusively on the rations I took camping with me, spending my days hiking with my camera in hand and my nights sleeping in the wild in a small dome tent.
Given the limited amount of time allowed, to both scout and shoot at each location, most of the images were made as quickly as possible, in real time as I hiked the various trails. By the end of my journey I had traveled over 8,000 miles and captured approximately 5,000 images. The images contained in this book are my selections from all of the images I made during that trip and my most recent adventure, traveling the Trans-Canada highway from Thunder Bay, Ontario to the most northern tip of Nova Scotia before returning to the United States to visit Acadia National Park, followed by the Adirondack Mountains.
I created this book to share the natural, rugged beauty of these amazing locations, as seen through my eyes and captured with my lens.
