Acerca del libro
Social media is no longer just an optional distraction, for many students, it’s an unstoppable force that dictates how they think, feel, and connect with the world. As a researcher and observer of student behavior, I couldn't ignore the reality unfolding before me.Through conversations with students, I started noticing patterns, struggles with anxiety, constant comparisons, declining focus, and disrupted sleep cycles. These weren’t just individual stories; they reflected a larger, growing problem affecting student populations worldwide. I wanted answers, so I conducted a survey with students to understand their experiences firsthand. The findings were eye-opening and unsettling. Beyond my research, experts in psychology, mental health, and education echoed similar concerns, reinforcing the idea that social media’s negative effects are not just theoretical, they are very real and happening right now. This book aims to bridge the gap between research, student experiences, and potential solutions. My hope is to bring awareness to the problem while providing real, actionable steps for students, families, and educators. If we fail to acknowledge and address these issues, we risk letting social media dictate the mental health and future success of entire generations.
