Roberts was born in 1934; grew up in OK, AR and NM, and majored in journalism at the University of Oklahoma, class of 195
Over the 50+ years following OU, he has served in many communications roles: Since 2000, he has served private clients as a personal historian helping families, veterans and organizations record their significant past. Prior to this service, he was executive editor of "Oklahoma Living, " the state's 3rd largest publication (circ. 278,000). As partner in Image Marketing, he worked with national firms through localized special events, such as Marlboro Country Music Concerts, Virginia Slims Tennis Tournaments, DeBeers Diamond Exhibits. Roberts was a founder of "Oklahoma Business" with a "Fortune" format and focusing on successful Sooner start-ups. He developed the first financial PR services in Oklahoma supporting public issues of Drilling Joint Ventures. He was the first Oklahoma PR practitioner certified by the Public Relations Society of America.
