Born in 1927, the year of the big flood, I spent most of my life in or around Stigler, Oklahoma. These are stories I have been writing down for the past 25 years or so. My daughter, Janie Reavis Cox, has compiled them all into a book for us to enjoy. These are actual stories of my family and myself, growing up on the prairie in eastern Oklahoma. Times were hard, but we could always see the humor in every situation.
