René V. Gumucio was born in Bolivia in 1925 and came to California in 1950 to further his education in architecture. He became a U.S. citizen and practiced architecture during a career that extended into the next century. Over the years, the building industry recognized his work with many national awards for innovation and design excellence. René was passionate about his family and work—and fishing!
