I have worked most of my life as a letterer, stone carver and sculptor. I am now a priest in the Anglican Church in charge of seven parishes in shropshire. I balance my life of prayer and sacrament with working as an artist and producing art books of a spiritual and prayerful emphasis.
My style of calligraphy has been directly influenced by my work in stone which requires fewer letters. These letters have a life as abstract shapes aswell as conveying meaning.
My style of painting has been influenced by the work of Persian manuscripts and make use of flat pattern which goes well with the patterns created by the calligraphy and lettering.
