I've been living in Netherlands for 10 years, since I married Marcel Koert. I am an American, born in New Boston Ohio, but spent most of my life in Florida. I can't think of a better place to live, than my city of Lelystad. There are a lot of drawbacks to living in Netherlands, "Expenses", "High Taxes", "Space" etc., but it's well worth it. The beauty cannot be beat. My dutch is terrible, but thank goodness 80% or more Nederlanders, speak and understand English. I'm living like I'm on a vacation everyday. I never get tired of seeing all the places and sites. It's history is everywhere, on every corner, in every street. I'm enjoying myself to the MAX!
