Mehmet Demirci (born 1978-Turkey) is a photojournalist best known for documenting conflict, disaster zones. Demirci followed up many important events on the Middle East and he documented many historical events such as Iraq and Afghanistan war, Israel – Palestine fights, the civil war in Sudan and devastating earthquakes Pakistan and Haiti.
He served as the chief photographer for 11.President of Republic of Turkey Abdullah Gül between 2012-2016, photographing him daily in his activities at the office, abroad and in his personal life.
His book “A Protocol-990 Days with the President” was published after president’s term ended in 2014. The book is its first kind by being the first ever presidency book in Turkey. Demirci continued his work with President Abdullah Gül Museum and Library until 2017.
Demirci is currently a freelance political, corporate, and editorial photographer based in North Carolina, USA.
