One thing I know for sure - change is inevitable. As it comes, embrace it and grow. I trained for one career and experienced another and in the process learned how to make art too. You can never have too many skill sets. As a geographer and ecologist, I was trained to interpret landscapes as layers of pattern, process, landforms and habitat. As an artist, I layer wool, silk and natural found objects to re-imagine and convey the complex texture and colour of the surface of the land. I hope to provide a fresh perspective on landscapes by recasting them as felt. |
