Since 1979, I have owned and directed Sprucelands Equestrian Center and Summer Camp in Java Center, NY. While I am also an elementary school counselor, I enjoy photography, writing, scrapbooking, and keeping up with my camp website and blog. What I love most is working with children. Witnessing their growth as they are handed leadership and responsibility feels much like a privilege. Of course my partners in teaching life lessons are horses. Together we are a great match. The horses both inspire me and give me strength while I teach riders how balance in the saddle is possible and balance on the ground is essential.
