Dawn Doig

Dawn Doig is a Canadian audiologist and mother of two. She has enjoyed writing and drawing since a very young age and prefers to write her stories in rhyme like Dr. Seuss. She created the 'Big Shoe Bears' when she was 12 years old and has crafted a variety of unique 'Big Shoe Bear' paraphernalia including dolls, ornaments, rugs, candles, t-shirts, etc., for family and friends. The original version of 'What a Bath' was illustrated with moveable parts for Dawn's son, Colin, to interact with the book and when he was little he always enjoyed being read his 'personalized' story. Dawn has been married for 24 years to her wonderful hubby, Bruce, who supports her publishing dreams. Her first book, 'And So Ahmed Hears', was published as a humanitarian project in 2008 by Widex Canada to increase public awareness about childhood hearing loss. The book can be ordered free of charge from the company's website. Dawn also enjoys travelling and is addicted to baking.
