I'm an amateur photographer living across the bay from San Francisco in Emeryville, CA. The primary subject in my work is documenting abandoned places, from office buildings to military bases to factories. In exploring these places I feel a strong sense of wonderment and awe, as if discovering an archeological ruin or an unexplored wilderness. There is a powerful beauty in the corrosive, entropic forces of nature at work in man-made structures left to decay. But far from being a sign of death, it is a sign of the pervasiveness and persistence of life.

My hope is that my photographs inspire these sensations and thoughts in the viewer.
