I began shooting professionally about 30 years ago, filling in occassionally at various studios on an as-needed, part-time basis, starting out in my home town of Galesburg, Illinois. My professional work was just an extension of my love for taking fine photographs and seeing the expressions on the face of the recipients.

I have a "day job" and will never pursue photography to the point that I must produce photographs to "pay the rent." I still enjoy the hobby of photography and strive to keep the freshness of a new discovery in each of my images.
