Ronald Gregory started making photographic images when he was 10 years old. While in college his passion for photography consumed most of his waking hours. After graduation, he was employed as a professional photographer, working for Vanderbilt University School of Medicine and free-lancing in his hometown of Nashville, Tennessee.

Ron’s re-emergence as a serious fine-art photographer began in 2002. He attempts to distill beauty in the everyday natural world. Just Rust is one series that takes a close look at how nature peels away layers of man-made objects and, in the passage of time, creates a surface quality that’s beautifully complex, rich in color, and dynamic.

Ron has worked as a visual designer for over three decades with an emphasis on interactive new media. He founded several digital design studios and currently works as an independent contractor. He lives in Rockville, Maryland with his wife, Barbara Grunbaum, and has twin sons, Benjamin and Eli.
