Nancy Susan Woods (1980) received her B.F.A. from Rhode Island School of Design (2002) and her M.F.A. in Studio Art at The City College of New York (2012). She previously worked as a bookbinder and conservator of rare books and manuscripts. Nancy Woods’s work often utilizes conservation methods to explore issues pertaining to the self and other physical environments. Nancy‘s recent exhibitions include; Everything is Index, Nothing is History, RAC/The Invisible Dog, Brooklyn, NY (2012); Cratch Cradle, MFA Thesis Show, City College of New York (2012); Under Pressure, Concrete Utopia Gallery, Brooklyn, NY (2011); Out of Context, WestGermany, Berlin, DE (2011).

Nancy recently returned to New York from an artist residency at Zentrum für Kunst und Urbanistik in Berlin where she was developing new work based on American self-help and pop psychological instructions for personal development.
