Priya Lin is a mixed-media abstract artist with a focus in clay, calligraphy, and watercolor techniques. Priya’s ideology as an artist is perpetually cultivated by her surroundings, the mediums she works with, and the teachers who have inspired her art and creative doctrine. Priya’s artistic philosophy is influenced by Wabi Sabi, the Japanese aesthetic focused on accepting and appreciating the concepts of transience and imperfection. She also sees adaptation to the environment as directly impacting her art. Her experiences living in Hawaii and Arizona have concretely forged and influenced her work and artistic direction, which find resonance in Hawaiian folklore and the mysticism of the Southwestern United States.
