I specialize in large format black and white environmental (and/or formal) portraits shot on 8x10 film. An area of interest for me is documenting construction of important buildings over the several years they take to construct. I do this through capturing the essence of the men and women who give of themselves daily, across the years, to create these works.

Everything else I shoot on digital cameras (or film if requested). I do people, places and stuff (tabletop). Lighting is my area of technical expertise (along with hand printing large format prints on silver gelatin paper, and now, creating my own chemistry since it's all but obsolete). Ever work with a photographer who takes all day to light ice in a soft drink cup covered in condensation? Well, that's not me. I often get it on the first try. Really. I always use a meter to make sure I'm on the mark, and I usually am. That keeps your budget low. I'm efficient, accurate and thoughtful. And sometimes I'm even funny.
