Dr. Mark Klinedinst is Emeritus Professor of Economics at the University of Southern Mississippi. He received his doctorate from Cor- nell University in 1987. He has worked on national and international projects with funding from groups such as the National Science Foun- dation, World Bank, Filene Research Institute, United Nations and the International Labor Organization and acts as a reviewer for a number of economics journals. He has published in the European Economic Review, Journal of Comparative Economics, Journal of Economic Issues and a number of other outlets. He has taught money and banking, macroeconomics, economic development and related courses. He is a founder of the Hattiesburg Downtown Farmers Market and is President of the Pine Belt Chapter of the Gaining Ground Sustainability Institute of Mississippi.
