Acerca de

Melissa Gentile has a Masters of Science in Child Life and Family Centered Care from Wheelock College. Now a stay-at-home mom to two little girls, Melissa has worked in hospital and hospice settings helping children cope with illness, medical treatment and grief.

Reading books with children is an important way to help explain adult concepts on a level they can appreciate and understand. When Melissa realized her children had books on everything from birth to death, she went looking for a book about having a parent with Fibromyalgia ... but the cupboards were bare!

Writing this book was a therapeutic process for Melissa and her family. Many thanks to the family and friends who supported her during the creation of this book and to a very special first grade classroom who was it's very first audience.
