Inspired by model railroad train layouts, boomer toys and the TV show, Land of the Giants, I use scale & real models, figurines, toys and natural materials to create vignettes that encourage the viewer to look at the miniature world more closely. I enjoy solving artistic puzzles and create photographs with humor, odd juxtapositions and scales with a sense of playfulness. There is a hint of surrealism in some of my work that allows the viewer to do a double-take. I plan to continue playing with toys, sugary sweets and salty, crunchy foods in my work.
