Photography and art have been my passion all my life, my creative outlet during the years I earned my living in a traditional line of work. When a few years ago my employment as an accountant abruptly ended, free of any obligation for the first time in my life, I fulfilled my dream to travel and photograph and just see what happens ...
... what happened, I enjoyed travel in Indonesia, mostly Bali. I filled my days photographing all the incredible sights, landscapes, temples, children; but I became most fascinated with a flower I had thought of in my ignorance to be mystical or extinct: the lotus! My images took on a life of their own, being used on CD covers, calendars, published as a greeting card set in Germany, featured on the cover of a local magazine, applied to brochures and even appeared in film.
I was born and raised in Germany and immigrated to Victoria, Canada, at the age of 21. Victoria has been home to me since and I raised my son here as a single parent.
